Executive assistant CV · Lily Shippen Ltd
Privacy policy
You give us a CV and your answers to an interview. We use them to score and write your CV, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, we do not use them to train anything, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. Last updated 14 September 2026.
Who we are
Executive Assistant CV is run by Lily Shippen Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 10008191. We are the data controller for the information described on this page, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. You can reach us at lily@executiveassistantcv.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your CV. The text of any CV you drop into the free scorer or into Margot. It usually contains your name, contact details, employment history and education. We only read the text; the file itself is not kept.
- Your interview answers. Everything you tell Margot, and the CV and LinkedIn text she writes from it.
- Your email address, if you give it to receive a score breakdown, join The Record waitlist, or buy a CV. Stripe passes the email you use at checkout back to us so we can match your purchase to your access.
- Payment details are taken by Stripe on their own pages. We never see or store your card number.
- Technical data. Your IP address is used to limit how often the free tools can be called, and is held for one hour for that purpose. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To score your CV, interview you, and write your CV, cover letter, interview preparation and LinkedIn profile.
- To give you access to what you have bought, email you your finished documents, keep your interview where you left it, and let you return on another device.
- To answer you when you email us, and to honour the guarantee.
- To check Margot's work. Lily Shippen reads finished CVs from time to time to see whether Margot is writing to her standard and to improve how she interviews and writes. They are read by Lily alone, never shared, and never used as examples anywhere without your written permission.
- If you gave us your email, to tell you about Executive Assistant CV and The Record. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to any email or writing to the address above, and we will.
The lawful basis for the first three is the contract you have with us, or the steps you ask us to take before one. The basis for the last is our legitimate interest in telling people who have used the free tools about the paid ones, balanced by your right to say no.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of suppliers, each for one job, each under contract terms that stop them using your data for their own purposes.
- Anthropic provides the language model that reads your CV and writes from your answers. Your CV text and answers are sent to their API to do that work. Under their API terms your data is not used to train their models.
- Stripe takes payment and holds your card details under their own privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts the site and the small database where your access record and a copy of your interview are stored.
- Resend delivers our email: your finished CV and LinkedIn kit to you, and a note to us when someone leaves an address or reports a problem.
Some of these suppliers process data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- In your browser. Your interview and finished CV are stored in your own browser so the page is instant and survives a lost connection. They stay until you clear your browser data or press Restart in Margot.
- On our side. Your access record and the server copy of your interview are kept for 400 days from purchase, then deleted automatically. This is what lets you come back within your editing window and lets us honour the guarantee.
- Free scorer. The CV you score is read to produce the score and is not stored on our side afterwards.
- Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it for marketing. Email lily@executiveassistantcv.co.uk and we will reply within a month, usually much sooner. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage to keep your interview, your finished CV and your access to it on the device you are using. Nothing in it is shared with advertisers or other sites.
Children
This site is for people looking for work and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will update the date at the top and, where we have your email, tell you. The current version is always at this address.
